Grown across Puglia in Italy's south, Primitivo ripens to high sugar under near-constant sun. Brambly dark fruit, dried fig and warm spice, with soft tannins and noticeable alcohol. This is the 2023 from Tormaresca Torcicoda. A brief decant helps. Made for barbecue, grilled sausage, and tomato-based dishes.
