From the Vallagarina in southern Trentino, where alpine air meets the influence of Lake Garda, comes San Leonardo, the Guerrieri Gonzaga family's Bordeaux-style red. Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère and Merlot give cassis, red currant, cedar and a distinctive green-herb lift, framed by fine, firm tannins. San Leonardo, 2019 vintage. Decant for an hour or cellar further. Pair with roast venison, veal chops, or aged Trentino cheeses.
