Duca Enrico is Nero d'Avola from Duca di Salaparuta, and when first released in the 1980s it was among the first Sicilian reds to show how serious the island's native grape could be. Dark cherry, plum, licorice, and spice with a full body and ripe tannins. Duca di Salaparuta, 2020 vintage. Decant for an hour. Pair with caponata, grilled swordfish with salmoriglio, or lamb.
