Verdicchio di Matelica comes from an inland valley in the Marche, higher and cooler than the more familiar Castelli di Jesi zone, and it tends to be firmer and more mineral. Bisci is a family estate there, and Senex is its long-aged Riserva. Expect citrus, almond, fennel, and honeyed notes with vibrant acidity and real weight. Bisci, 2019 vintage. Serve cool, not cold.
