Taurasi is Campania's great red, Aglianico grown in the hills of Irpinia inland from Naples, and it is known for power, acidity, and firm tannins. The Riserva from Di Meo comes from its Vigna Olmo vineyard. Black cherry, tobacco, leather, and smoke, now showing some age. Di Meo, 2015 vintage. Decant for an hour and serve with braised short ribs, lamb ragu, or aged provolone.
