50&50 was one of the first collaborations between two Tuscan estates: half Sangiovese from Capannelle in Gaiole in Chianti, half Merlot from Avignonesi in Montepulciano. The result is a rich, polished Super Tuscan: black cherry, plum, cocoa, tobacco and sweet spice, with the Merlot's plush texture and the Sangiovese's acidity. Avignonesi and Capannelle, 2020 vintage. Decant for an hour, or cellar it for several years. Serve with beef tenderloin, roast duck, or wild mushroom risotto.
