Quinta da Corte is a historic estate in the Douro Valley, the steep, terraced home of Port, and its Tinto is a dry red blended from native Douro grapes such as Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca. With some bottle age, expect dark plum, blackberry, violet, dried herbs and a savory, earthy edge over firm but settling tannins. Quinta da Corte, 2016 vintage. Decant to let it breathe and to leave any sediment behind. Serve with roast pork, grilled lamb chops, or hard aged cheeses.
