Pinot Noir carries less tannin and less color than most serious reds, and relies on texture and aroma instead. Red fruit, dried herb and a savory undertone that builds with a little air. The Petaluma Gap funnels cold Pacific air into Sonoma, which is why parts of the county grow superb cool-climate fruit. Bottled by Hirsch from the 2023 harvest. Best just below room temperature. Serve with charcuterie, roast chicken, or soft cheeses.
