In the northern Rhône Syrah is elegant and peppery; in Australia, as Shiraz, it turns rich and sweet-fruited. Blackberry, olive, smoked meat and cracked pepper, with firm structure underneath. Australia spans everything from the baking Barossa to cool-climate Tasmania, with Shiraz the through-line across most of it. Bottled by Glaetzer Amon-Ra from the 2020 harvest. Serve at cool room temperature. Excellent with grilled lamb, peppered steak, and braised dishes.
