Barolo is Nebbiolo grown in a handful of villages in the Langhe hills, and its signature is a paradox — pale in the glass, ferociously structured on the palate, with tar, rose, and dried cherry. At 2011 this bottle has had well over a decade to resolve its tannins, which is roughly when traditional Barolo starts becoming generous. Decant it.
