Chardonnay's affinity for oak and lees ageing is what gives the finest examples their texture. Barrel fermentation adds vanilla and texture; stainless steel keeps it lean and citrus-driven. Oregon's Willamette Valley sits at roughly the same latitude as Burgundy and makes Pinot Noir with a similar sensibility. Bottled by Domaine Serene Evenstad from the 2022 harvest. Serve lightly chilled rather than cold — over-chilling flattens the texture. Serve with seafood, pork, or mushroom dishes.
