Delas Frères is a northern Rhône house, and its Saint-Esprit Côtes du Rhône reflects those roots, putting more emphasis on Syrah than many southern Rhône reds, with Grenache for ripeness. Expect blackberry, red cherry, black pepper and dried herbs, with medium body and soft tannins. Delas, current release. Serve slightly below room temperature. A reliable weeknight red with grilled sausages, burgers, or roast chicken.
