Grown in slightly gentler conditions than Barolo, Barbaresco ripens earlier and requires less time in barrel before release. Elegant rather than imposing, though the tannins are still very much present. Piedmont sits at the foot of the Alps, and its cool autumns are what allow Nebbiolo to hang late into October. Bottled by Cigliuti Vie Erte from the 2022 harvest. Decant for an hour. Serve with veal, risotto, mushroom dishes, or aged cheeses.
