Condrieu is the northern Rhône's home of Viognier, a small appellation of steep granite terraces that makes some of the world's most aromatic dry whites. Louis Barruol of Château de Saint Cosme, better known for his Gigondas, makes this rich, fragrant version. Apricot, peach, honeysuckle and a hint of spice on a round, full body. Saint Cosme, 2023 vintage. Serve cool, not cold. Pair with lobster, scallops in butter, or mild curries.
