Ribera del Duero sits high on the Castilian plateau, where Tempranillo is known locally as Tinta del País. Powerful and concentrated, usually with more new oak and more grip than its northern neighbor. Áster Finca El Otero, 2021 vintage. Decant it; young Ribera is often tight on opening.
