This is the malt that taught most people what Speyside tastes like: pineapple and orchard fruit, vanilla, a touch of honey, and a clean finish with no smoke. It has been made in the Livet valley since 1824, when George Smith took the first legal distilling licence in the area. Approachable enough for someone new to single malt and good enough that experienced drinkers keep it around. Neat, or over one large cube.
