Tuscany's most familiar red, built on Sangiovese and made to accompany food rather than upstage it. Bright sour cherry, dried herbs and a savory, almost tomato-leaf edge, with brisk acidity. Tuscany's wine map has been redrawn repeatedly, most dramatically when the Super Tuscans broke the rules in the 1970s. Bottled by San Felice La Pieve from the 2021 harvest. No decanting needed; just open and pour. The classic pairing is tomato-based pasta, pizza, and grilled meats.
