Romitorio di Santedame is one of Ruffino's top Tuscan reds, named for an old hermitage on the company's Santedame estate in Chianti Classico and bottled as Toscana IGT. With several years in bottle, it offers dark cherry, plum, dried herbs, leather and softened, fine tannins. Ruffino, 2016 vintage. Decant gently to separate any sediment. Serve with roast beef, mushroom risotto, or aged pecorino.
