Primus The Blend is a Chilean red blend, one of the better-known premium labels from the Colchagua Valley, where warm days and cool nights give ripe but balanced reds. It combines varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère and Syrah: blackberry, black cherry, cocoa, a touch of green pepper from the Carmenère, and smooth tannins. Primus, current release. Serve slightly below room temperature. A good match for grilled steak, empanadas, or barbecue.
