Favorita is the Langhe's name for the grape known elsewhere as Vermentino, grown in small amounts in Piedmont as a white counterpart to the region's reds. Poderi Cellario is a family winery in Carrù, and this is a clean, bright white: lemon, pear, green herbs and a crisp, faintly bitter almond finish. Serve chilled. Pair with vitello tonnato, fritto misto, or pesto pasta.
