Bolgheri, on the Tuscan coast, made its name with Bordeaux-style reds, and the Superiore designation marks an estate's more serious, longer-aged bottling. Michele Satta was one of the early growers in the area, and Piastraia blends Bordeaux varieties with Syrah and Sangiovese.
