Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is made from the Montepulciano grape along Italy's Adriatic coast, not to be confused with the Tuscan town of the same name. It is one of Italy's great everyday reds. Martello's version offers dark cherry, plum and a touch of spice with soft tannins and a juicy finish. Serve at cool room temperature. Easy with pizza, lasagna, or grilled sausages.
