L'Ecole No 41 is one of the founding wineries of Washington's Walla Walla Valley, housed in a historic schoolhouse. Apogee comes from Pepper Bridge Vineyard, one of the valley's best-known sites, and is a Bordeaux-style blend of varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Expect blackcurrant, black cherry, cocoa and savory herbs, with firm structure and fresh acidity. L'Ecole No 41, 2022 vintage. Decant for an hour. Serve with grilled steak, lamb chops, or mushroom risotto.
