Falanghina is one of Campania's classic white grapes, and the Sannio, in the hills of Benevento, is its heartland. Ja'nare is the label of La Guardiense, a large growers' cooperative in the area, and this is a bright, fruit-forward example: lemon, pear, white flowers and a clean, slightly saline finish. Serve chilled. Pair with spaghetti with clams, fried calamari, or mozzarella and tomato salad.
