Charbono is a rare red grape in California — related to Douce Noir from the French Alps and known as Bonarda in Argentina — with only a handful of acres left, mostly in Napa. Fiftyrow's bottling from the Wheelhouse Vineyard shows its typical character: dark plum, blackberry, earth and a bright, zesty acidity that keeps it lively. Fiftyrow, 2021 vintage.
