Godello is a native white grape of northwestern Spain that is having a revival in Bierzo and Valdeorras. Emilio Moro, a Ribera del Duero family, makes El Zarzal from vineyards in Bierzo. Pear, citrus, white flowers and a mineral finish with good texture and fresh acidity. Emilio Moro, 2024 vintage. Serve chilled. Pair with grilled octopus, roast chicken, or shellfish paella.
