Chaupin is an old-vine Grenache parcel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Domaine de la Janasse bottles it on its own. The result is a pure expression of southern Rhône Grenache: ripe raspberry, kirsch, garrigue, and spice, rich and silky with soft, ample tannins. Domaine de la Janasse, 2023 vintage. Decant for an hour, or cellar for several years. Pair it with roast lamb, daube provençale, or duck breast.
