Only a small share of Châteauneuf-du-Pape is white, and it is often blended from Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Bourboulenc. Château La Nerthe is one of the appellation's oldest and best-known estates. Expect pear, white peach, honeysuckle and a touch of almond, with a rich, rounded texture balanced by fresh acidity. Château La Nerthe, 2024 vintage. Serve chilled but not cold, around 50 to 55 degrees. Pair with lobster, roast chicken with tarragon, or scallops in brown butter.
