Château Giscours is a Third Growth in the 1855 classification of Bordeaux, one of the largest estates in the Margaux appellation. Its grand vin blends Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in the Margaux manner, emphasizing perfume and finesse: cassis, violet, cedar and tobacco over fine, firm tannins. Château Giscours, 2014 vintage. With a decade in bottle it is entering its drinking window; decant for an hour. Serve with roast lamb, entrecôte bordelaise, or duck confit.
