Armagnac is France's oldest brandy — distilled in Gascony since the fourteenth century, and unlike Cognac it is traditionally column-distilled once at lower strength, which leaves more character in the spirit. Château de Laubade holds one of the largest reserves of vintage Armagnac in the region.
