Unlike Cognac, Armagnac is traditionally column-distilled once at lower strength, leaving more character in the spirit. Richer and more rustic than Cognac, with prune, dried fruit and rancio developing over long oak aging. Bottled under the Chateau de Hontambere X.O. label. Small measures, no ice. One of the few spirits sold by vintage year, which makes it a natural landmark gift.
