Castello del Terriccio sits in the hills near Castellina Marittima, in coastal Tuscany north of Bolgheri, and Lupicaia is its long-standing top red, a Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend with Merlot. It is full and polished: blackcurrant, black cherry, graphite and Mediterranean scrub, with ripe, dense tannins. Castello del Terriccio, 2019 vintage. Decant for an hour or two.
