Le Cigare Volant is Bonny Doon's homage to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, a Rhône-style blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and friends from California's Central Coast. The name nods to a 1950s Châteauneuf ordinance banning flying saucers from landing in its vineyards. Red and black berries, dried herbs, and pepper, with a supple, savory frame. Bonny Doon Vineyard.
