Palazzo della Torre is Allegrini's Veronese red, made mostly from Corvina with some grapes dried before being added to the wine, a technique borrowed from Amarone. Allegrini is one of Valpolicella's historic families. Cherry, dried fruit, and spice, rich but balanced, a sort of little brother to Amarone. Allegrini. Serve just below room temperature. Pair with braised beef, mushroom risotto, or aged Asiago.
