Bolgheri, on the Tuscan coast, built its reputation on Bordeaux varieties, and Aia Vecchia's Sor Ugo follows that model with a blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It is ripe and full, with blackcurrant, black cherry, and cedar framed by polished tannins. Aia Vecchia, 2022 vintage, from the Bolgheri Superiore category, which requires longer aging.
